Experience the Long-Term Benefits of Whole Body Therapy Through Infrared Heat.

Cultivate Recovery’s range of infrared saunas, also called far-infrared saunas, omit infrared light waves that create heat in the body, causing you to sweat and release stored “toxins” In an infrared sauna, only 20 percent of the energy is used to heat the air, leaving the rest of the energy to heat the body. The radiant heat can penetrate deep below the skin producing a gentle warming inside the body. These lower temperatures allow you to sweat faster and to tolerate a longer sauna session offering greater therapeutic benefit. Typical sessions last 20 to 45 minutes and can be repeated once or twice during the day to maximize the benefits. Infrared saunas leave you feeling invigorated, not depleted like conventional saunas.

FAQS

What is Infrared?

Infrared is part of the sun’s invisible spectrum of light, located next to the colour red and felt as warmth. Not to be confused with UV and other potentially harmful rays, infrared heat is safe and healing. Infrared rays penetrate the body deeply and help to move on and eliminate any harmful toxins that may have built up inside.

What is the difference between traditional saunas and infrared saunas?

Traditional wet and dry saunas use heated air to warm the body, which means they typically have to be very hot to reach therapeutic levels.  Infrared Saunas on the other hand, penetrate the tissues directly, causing the body to sweat at a more comfortable, tolerable, ambient temperature.

What saunas do we use?

We use Clearlight far-infrared saunas. Far-infrared levels are used primarily for detoxification purposes and can promote physiological adaptions that can result in increased endurance, easier acquisition of muscle mass, and a general increased capacity of stress tolerance.

How long is each session?

We offer 30min or 60min sessions this allow you the ability of 25-50 mins of light and heat therapy exposure, in your own private room.

What do I need to bring?

We recommend bringing a large towel to sit on and hand towel to wipe away any sweat during your session. We also offer towels for hire.

What should I wear?

Less is more! We recommend swimwear just remember to sit on the towel at all times.

Are the rooms private?

Yes each sauna has it’s own private room located in the Loft. We have 2 large saunas perfect for bringing a friend and one personal size.

Should I shower after my session?

Although we do offer a shower this is not recommended. To get the most out of each session we recommend waiting at least 30min before taking a cool shower.

Who should not sweat?

We do not recommend infrared sauna use for pregnant women, those fitted with pacemakers and those affected by lupus. Always consult your doctor prior to sweating if you suffer from any chronic ailments or take any medications.

How often should I sweat?

As frequently as possible! Two or more times a week is great to maximise results. We understand everyone has a busy schedule so as often as possible for you!
